Stingbox
Weapon
Stingboxes are large tazer guns that have been known to potentially kill their targets. They are powered by a metaclockwork electricity generator and have two spiked barbs that are attached to the engine by chains. An average human would be required to wear sholder straps to operate a stingbox, while Cactacea are large enough to carry the weapon with their hands.

"Stingboxes are frequently used as riot control weapons in Bas-Lag's largest city, New Crobuzon."

Scabmettler Blood Armor
Apparel
Blood Armor is actually a physical feature unique to the Scabmettler race of people. The blood of Scabmettler's slowly super hardens upon mixing with the air. In order to create the armor, warriors from the Scabmettler community cut themselves in intricate patterns across their bodies that drip into beautiful hard plate armor. They consider the process to be an artform.

"Every Scabmettler's armor is as unique as there own personality. The process of creating the armor is very personal and often viewed as a form of expresson."

Grindylow Statue (Magnus Fin)
Weapon
A statue endowed with Grindylow thaumaturgy. Powered internally by a Magnus Fin, the statue gives it user partial invisibility, increased strength and speed, and desolidification. Users must tongue kiss the statue and let it draw some of their blood. Usinage of the statue will result in an addiction to it properties. With continued use of the statue, the user's body will start to mutate into a more aquatic form.

"Silas Fennec was the first human to have contact with the Grindylow Statue. He was said to have stolen it during his time in the wilds of the Gangris."

Armadan Compass
Utensils & Tools

Armadan Compasses are only created in one secret facility located on the floating pirate city of Armada. Being a city of tethered ships, Armada constantly maneuvers its way around the oceans of Bas-Lag. The only way for the pirate inhabitants of Armada to find a way back to their mobile home is by use of an Armadan Compass. The needles of these compasses are embedded with a special crystal fragment that makes them point back toward the source crystal on Armada.

"It would be extremely dangerous for Armada if an Armadan Compass fell into the hands of one of the other of Bas-Lag's major powers."
