Effie Trinket’s Wedding Party Dress
Apparel

This purple dress was what Effie wore to Katniss and Peeta’s wedding party at the presidential palace. Knowing that this night meant a lot to the capital and to the couple, Effie wanted to look her best, which, in the eyes of the Capitol, she did.

“The fashion at the Capitol is much different than the districts and is an acquired taste. There are many mismatched colors and wild, bold patterns and hairstyles.”

Tracker Jacker
Flora and Fauna
Tracker Jackers are a wasp like mutation who's venom can cause sickness, hallucinations, madness, and sometimes death. These creatures are significantly larger than average wasps and have a distict gold body. Tracker Jackers are known to attack anyone they feel threatened by and have the ability to track down their enemies. One sting from these little guys can create a lump "the size of a plum", there is also a green ooze that drips out of the stings.
The significance to their existence is that they can be perceived as a third party in any war because they do not take sides, but rather they attack anyone or thing that poses a threat to them.
In the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen uses these dangerous little guys to attack and ward off the Careers. This attack kills two of the tributes, Glimmer from District 1 and the girl from District 4.
While dropping the nest on the Careers helps her escape, Katniss does not leave untouched. She suffers from three stings from the tracker jacker nest. This causes her to hallucinate, making an encounter with Peeta seem unreal.

Mockingjay
Flora and Fauna
Mocking jays are an accidental mutation that came into existence when male jabberjays mated with female mocking jays after being released into the wild during the Dark Days.
While mockingjays do not have the same abilities as the jabberjay to remember whole conversations or even to enunciate words; they do have the ability to recite notes, tunes, and even melodies to whole songs when they are sung to by a human voice that they think is beautiful. These birds can also recreate songs.
The significance of the appearance of the mockingjays in the hunger games series is that they are considered a symbol of rebellion against the capital because their existence was caused by a mistake made by the capital. Their presence is also a reminder for Katniss Everdeen of her father and of her friend and 74th hunger game ally, Rue.
The presence of mockingjays in the 74th hunger games also becomes important to how Katniss and Rue communicate when they separate to "take out" the career's food supply.
Mockingjays are the product of cross breeding Mocking Birds with Jabberjays.
Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins
These birds originated sometime during the Dark Days. Their existence happened shortly after Jabberjays were released into the wild. This would have been over 75 years before Katniss Everdeen took down the Capital.

Finnick Odair’s Gold Bangle
Apparel

In the 75th Hunger Games, Finnick Odair from District 4 had a token that was a gold bangle with a flame pattern. This token was first given to Haymitch Abernathy from Effie Trinket as a sign of them being a team. Haymitch gave it to Finnick to tell Katniss to make him an ally, as he could later help her in the games.

“At first, Katniss was slightly confused with the fact that Finnick had the bangle, and thought he stole it from Haymitch, but then realized that Haymitch had given it to Finnick to send her a signal.”

Peeta’s Medallion
Apparel

Every Tribute gets to carry one non-weapon item into the arena as a “token” from their district. Katniss carries her Mockingjay pin in both the first and second Games. Peeta, in the 75th Games, wears a medallion. Effie made the medallion upon Peeta's request. It contained pictures of the three people (other than Peeta) who Katniss' cares about most in the world; Prim, her mother, and Gale.

“Peeta hoped the reminder of what she has to live for would motivate her to try to survive the Games, rather than sacrificing her life to save him, as she intended.”

Arena District Sacks
Tools

During the 74th Hunger Games, the gamemaker, Seneca Crane, placed 12 bags in the Games arena, one for each district. They contained something each specific district was in need of. For Katniss and Peeta, it was a medication for Peeta’s gaping wound.

“Against Peeta’s wishes, Katniss traveled to where the bags were, grabbed District 12’s bag, and got back to Peeta after getting into a scramble with others in the arena fighting to get to the bags.”

Beetee Latier’s Wire Spool
Tools

This type of wire was invented by Beetee, and was said to be as thin as hair and stretch for miles. Throughout the Games, Beetee guarded the wire with his life. Beetee revealed that to end the Careers' alliance they were going to connect the wire to the water and a tree that was continuously struck by lightning, so anyone near the damp beach would be electrocuted. Katniss and Johanna were sent to connect the wire to the lightning tree, but Katniss was knocked out and during this time by Johanna. When Katniss later followed the wire to Beetee and she found that he was electrocuted by a force field. So she did what she thought he was doing and attached the wire to one of her arrows and shot it at the force field after the lightning struck, destroying the arena.

“The gamemaker, Plutarch Heavensbee, had purposely put the wire in the arena for the intent of their escape.”
