Description
An account of the resource
Excalibur or Caliburn is the legendary sword of King Arthur, given to him by the Lady of the Lake. It is attributed with magical powers and associated with the rightful sovereignty of Great Britain.
It was one of King Arthur's most valuable possessions. When the sword was drawn in his first battle its blade blinded the king's enemies with the light of thirty torches.
This sword was also once used by King Arthur's warrior Llenlleawg the Irishman to kill the Irish king Diwrnach while stealing his magical cauldron.
At Arthur's death, the king had the sword thrown back into the lake.
