Deathstroke's Mask
Title
Deathstroke's Mask
Description
Slade Wilson wears a mask which dons the colors orange and black, orange on his right side and black on his left. It is the same mask worn by his torturers when he was on the island he had been washed upon for many years.
The colors on his mask attribute to highlighting key parts of his villainous persona, who he calls Deathstroke. Orange symbolizes deceit and distrust, which is fitting for Slade because he was originally introduced as a friend to Oliver Queen, the protagonist of the Arrow TV series, in the flashbacks, but comes to Starling City with the intent to destroy him. The color orange also stands for domination, aggression, and thirst for action. On the other side of Deathstroke's mask is the color black which is most commonly associated with death and power.
