Katniss’ Wedding Party Dress

Subject

Description

After announcing their engagement, Katniss and Peeta attended a party thrown in their name at President Snow’s palace. The dress Katniss wore lightly imitated a mockingjay complete with fashionable feathers on the shoulders. It also symbolized her nickname “the Girl on Fire” because the feathers had a firey look to them.

“Showing her love for Peeta was Katniss’ biggest duty that night at the party, because President Snow told her that he needed to be convinced of their love for each other. ‘You convince me, for the sake of your loved ones,’ he said.”
