Description

This is the skin of the vicious and beautiful Nemean lion. He was the first of Heracle's twelve labors. As the lion's fur was made of gold, he could not be ended by weapons that were mortal in nature. The lion was killed by the infamous hero, because he had a habit of stealing the wives of warriors and luring them into his cave. Once arriving, the warriors would run towards their woman. Unfortunately, the woman would then turn into the lion and promptly devour them. It has been said that the bones of these warriors were taken to Hades.
